The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office today announced it issued 108 total citations during the recent Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period. The enforcement period was funded by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Ogle County Sheriff Releases Independence Day Enforcement Numbers ![]() Upon being discharged from the hospital, Soria was taken into custody on the warrant by Ogle County Deputies without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail. Soria was charged with 4 counts of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer (Class 2 Felony), 2 counts of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer Causing Great Bodily Harm (Class 1 Felony), Criminal Trespass to a Residence (Class 4 Felony) and Domestic Battery (Class A Misdemeanor). Two Deputies also went to KSB Hospital for treatment of injuries. Soria was eventually subdued and taken to KSB Hospital by Polo Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. Soria then attacked several Deputies and subsequently resisted arrest. Soria, age 46, of Dixon that he needed to leave the residence or be arrested for trespassing. ![]() Upon arrival, they attempted to convince Jamin M. Galena Trail Road in rural Polo for the report of an unwanted subject. On 07/22/23 at approximately 11:23am, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 2667 S. Deputies were assisted on the scene by Byron Fire/EMS as well as the Byron Police Department. The incident is still under investigation, and additional charges are pending. Ellenby was released on an I-Bond with a future court date. Ellenby was additionally cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, Registration Expiration, and Operate Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Additionally, Ellenby was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Ellenby was transported to Swedish American Hospital with serious injuries. IL RTE 72 before ejecting the driver and coming to a rest in the roadway. The motorcycle then struck a guardrail on the north side of E. Ellenby, age 27, of Byron, IL, was attempting to negotiate the curve when he lost control and exited the north side of the roadway. After a brief investigation, it was determined that a westbound motorcycle operated by Jacob R. for a single-vehicle motorcycle crash with injuries. On at 0119 hours, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of E.
